TOKYO, JAPAN — Charge d’Affaires ad interim Marian Jocelyn Tirol-Ignacio together with embassy officials and personnel honoured Gat Jose Rizal in a wreath-laying ceremony held at the Embassy chancery in Tokyo on 30 December 2014.

After the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, flowers were offered before a bronze bust of the national hero. In remarks held during the ceremony, Minister and Consul General Ignacio gave grateful recognition to Gat Rizal’s vision of the Filipino that gave birth to the nation. Filipino food was partaken at a simple reception held after the ceremony. END
