ITOCHU reestablishes its commitment to contribute to PH economic growth

ITOCHU Corporation, represented by ITOCHU Corporation, Manila Branch General Manager Mr. Takao Shinohara, General Manager of the Research and Public Relations Division of the Public Relations Department Mr. Junpei Kakinuma, Deputy General Manager for the Agri Products Department Fresh Food Division Mr. Minoru Niino, and Area Manager of the Research and Public Relations Division of the Public Relations Department Mr. Kazuhiro Yoshida, called on Ambassador Jose C. Laurel V on 16 July 2020.

Mr. Shinohara stated that ITOCHU is committed to contribute in the Philippines more value added products, investments, and new technology. ITOCHU believes that the Philippines has the potential to grow further in the various sectors.

Ambassador Laurel welcomes the designation of Mr. Shinohara as General Manager of ITOCHU Corporation Manila Branch.

ITOCHU is involved in domestic trading, import/export, and overseas trading of various products such as textile, machinery, metals, minerals, energy, chemicals, food, general products, realty, information and communications technology, and finance, as well as business investment in Japan and overseas.

ITOCHU Manila Branch has been in the Philippines for more than 100 years and is one of the oldest overseas offices of ITOCHU. It initially traded Manila hemp to Japanese market, and thereafter expanded to other industries.
