BRP Teresa Magbanua, MRRV 9701, a 97-meter Multirole Response Vessel (MRRV) constructed in Japan, has set sail for Manila on 21 February 2022.  The procurement by the Philippine Government of the vessel through a concessional loan from the Government of Japan will add to the maritime capability of the Philippine Coast Guard and enhance maritime domain awareness.

Officials of the Philippine Embassy, Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, and Japan Coast Guard were on hand as the vessel set off on its maiden voyage from Japan to the Philippines.
