Advisory on Report of Marriage

Effective 01 December 2012, in compliance with Foreign Service Circular 140-12 issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo wishes to inform the public of the following:

  1. For applicants who are divorced, applicants must submit an annotated marriage certificate and a judicial decree of absolute divorce duly issued by a competent Philippine court.
  2. For applicants who are annulled, applicants must submit an annotated marriage certificate and a judicial decree of annulment or declaration of nullity of marriage duly issued by a competent Philippine court.
  3. For applicants who are widowed, applicants must submit the death certificate of the deceased spouse.
