ADVISORY: Consular Services Under The State of Emergency in Tokyo

In line with the declaration of a State of Emergency in Tokyo, and our efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients and personnel, the Philippine Embassy will adjust its consular services effective 12 January until further notice.

The Philippine Embassy will continue to entertain applicants with confirmed appointments from 9AM – 1PM, Monday to Friday, except holidays.

I. In-Person Application

Only applicants with confirmed appointments for the following services will be allowed entry into Embassy premises:

  • Passport*
  • Notarials/Legalization (including NBI fingerprinting and Dual Citizenship oath-taking)
  • Overseas Voting Registration

*Filipinos living in Shizuoka, Nagano, Niigata and Yamanashi prefectures may contact the Philippine Consulate-General in Nagoya for their passport applications. Please visit their website at nagoyapcg.dfa.gov.ph

II. Mail-in Application

Applicants for these services, including those with previously confirmed appointments, should send their application forms and supporting documents to the Embassy by mail. The Embassy will not entertain in-person applications:

  • Civil Registration (i.e., Reports of Birth/Marriage/Death, LCCM)**
  • Visa

**Filipinos living in Shizuoka, Nagano, Niigata and Yamanashi prefectures may wish to contact the Philippine Consulate-General in Nagoya for their civil registry applications. Please visit their website at nagoyapcg.dfa.gov.ph
