Philippine Embassy wins ASEAN Committee in Tokyo Bowling Tournament 2010

The Philippine Embassy triumphed as the overall champion of this year’s ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Bowling Tournament held on 24 July 2010 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel bowling centre. This annual sports event was hosted this time by the Vietnam Embassy.

The 7-member Philippine Embassy team bested the other nine ASEAN Embassies by garnering a total pinfall of 3,053 for three games. They were followed by the Singapore Embassy team at second place with a total pinfall of 2,996 and the Malaysia Embassy team at third with 2,971. In the Women’s Individual Category, Ms. Maria Nenita Llenos of the Philippine Embassy won the first place.

Accepting the championship trophy for the Philippine Embassy was H.E. Ambassador Domingo L. Siazon, Jr. The Philippine Embassy team was also overall winner in 2008, and was tied for third place with the Malaysia Embassy in 2009. This year’s line-up is composed of Vice Consul Christian De Jesus (Team Leader), Mr. Ricardo Yambao, Mr. Nestor Leuterio, Mr. Lopito Orines, Mr. Enrico Nocum, Mr. Leopoldo Orines, and Ms. Maria Nenita Llenos.
