Tokyo PE Leads Turnover of 2017 Simbang Gabi sa Meguro Collections to Marawi

20 February 2018 – The Philippine Embassy headed by Charge d’Affaires, Eduardo Martin R. Meñez, led the ceremony to turn over the collections of the 2017 Simbang Gabi Sa Meguro amounting to JPY 663,290 to Fr. Edwin Corros, C.S. on behalf of Bishop Edwin dela Peña of the Roman Catholic Territorial Prelature of Marawi.

The Simbang Gabi sa Meguro is an annual event organized by the Philippine Embassy, Philippine Assistance Group, Meguro (St. Anselm’s) Church and the Filipino organizations in Japan to anticipate the coming of Christmas. Collections from the nine masses are earmarked to beneficiaries in the Philippines in need of financial assistance. END
