The Embassy Commemorates the 112th Death Anniversary of National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal

30 December 2008 (Tokyo) — Together with their family members, officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan gathered at Hibiya Park today to commemorate the 112th death anniversary of the Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. A short program was held in front of the bronze statue of Dr. Rizal, put up in 1998 at Hibiya Park, situated at the location of the former Tokyo Hotel, where the national hero stayed from 1-7 March 1888.
