The Embassy of the Philippines in Japan led by Deputy Chief of Mission and Madame Gilberto G.B. Asuque and representatives of Filipino community and volunteer groups in Tokyo participated in the Yokohama Sparkling Twilight 2015 parade held at Yamashita Park, Yokohama City on 19 July 2015.

Yokohama Sparkling Twilight is an annual summer event organized by the citizens of Yokohama City featuring fireworks, stage performances, an international parade and seaside restaurant booths.

This year, a record number of 60 people made up the Philippine contingent in the Sparkling Twilight parade, including members of the Abraenians, Teatro Kanto Organization (TKO), Inrayog Philippines Folk Dance Troupe, Filipina Circle for Advancement and Progress (FICAP), and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) Cultural Dance Troupe.

The Abraenians and the TUFS Cultural Dance Troupe also performed Philippine dances on stage, to the appreciation of the Japanese and international audience.
