The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo participated in the 31st Okinawa International Orchid Show 2017 held at the Okinawa Ocean Expo Park on 04-12 February 2017.

Madame Marissa V. Meñez, wife of Charge d’Affaires, a.i. Eduardo M.R. Meñez collaborated with florist Mr. Masashi Minegishi and table arrangement artist Ms. Kae Tabuchi to create the Philippine presentation which showcased Okinawa orchids similar to Davao’s waling-waling and decorative items made of laminated bamboo and capiz. A depiction of a traditional Filipino courtship scene, with the gentleman and the lady wearing native Filipino fabrics, also accentuated the Philippine presentation. END
