Outgoing Rwandan Ambassador to the Philippines Pays Farewell Call on Ambassador Lopez

Philippine Ambassador to Japan Manuel M. Lopez received Dr. Charles Murigande, outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the Philippines, at the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo last 31 March.
Dr. Murigande has been Rwanda’s Ambassador to Japan since August 2011, and is concurrently accredited as non-resident Ambassador to the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
Ambassador Lopez thanked Ambassador Murigande for his efforts to advance relations between the two countries and for his active involvement in the activities of the “Manila Club”, as the group of Tokyo-based foreign Ambassadors to the Philippines is referred to.
The Rwandan Envoy presented his credentials to H.E. President Benigno S. Aquino III on 10 January 2013. Since then, he had undertaken visits to the Philippines with a view to boosting bilateral cooperation. END
