Japan-ASEAN Symposium on International Law and Cultural Base Tour, 28-29 November 2018

The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo represented the Philippines at the Japan-ASEAN Symposium on International Law and Cultural Base Tour organized by the Ministry of Defense of Japan on 28-29 November 2018.

The symposium brought together defense officials from various ASEAN countries to exchange views on a wide range of issues in the promotion of international law in the field of defense and security, such as the rule of law and the global commons in the region, confidence building measures as well as security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, among others. Following the symposium was familiarization tour at Japan Space Exploration Agency (JAXA) and at the Hyakuri Air Base of Japan’s Air Self Defense Force.
